What is Operation Independence?
At The Hub on Smith, our mission is to celebrate, embrace, and serve older adults for the betterment of our community. We help seniors maintain their independence by offering essential services like food, transportation, assistance with daily tasks, and information about community resources. Operation Independence is our way of inviting you to be part of this crucial mission.

For 50 years, The Hub has been a beacon of hope and support for older adults in our community. From providing nutritious meals and transportation to medical appointments, to offering companionship and assistance with everyday tasks, we are committed to ensuring that every senior who connects with us feels valued, respected, and empowered to live life on their own terms.
But we can’t do it alone.
As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of individuals like you to continue providing these vital services to our seniors. Your support enables us to offer a wide range of programs and initiatives designed to enhance the quality of life for older adults in our community and ensure that they can age in place with dignity and independence.

Will you join us in Operation Independence? Every year we need to raise almost 20% of our budget from private donors. This year that number adds up to $1M. Our goal for Operation Independence this year is $75,000. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help us get there and make a profound difference in the lives of our seniors. It will enable us to continue providing essential services and support that allow older adults to maintain their independence and live life to the fullest.
