Winter Adventures

Join the Hub in partnership with Black Mountain Nordic for some outdoor, winter adventures led by Steve Stresky. These are easy routes, but you’ll need equipment to navigate snowy conditions (snowshoes or skis).  Black Mountain Nordic is offering FREE rentals to those of you who want to try it out or don’t have the gear. Bring appropriate clothing, water, and lunch to enjoy on the trail. We’ll meet at the Hub at 9:30 to arrange carpooling and will return no later than 4:30 p.m. Destinations are on established trails that are usually, but not always groomed.  Our hopes are to explore :

• Sibley Lake, Cutler Hill, (these two have warming huts, where we’ll enjoy a hot wood stove), Pole Creek, & South Piney Canyon

Due to ever changing weather and road conditions, adventures may be canceled, rescheduled or locations changed.   Therefore Pre-Registration required  – www.thehubsheridan.org or kbeyer@thehubsheridan.org Those who are registered will be notified with details prior to each adventure.
