This steep hike is for experienced hikers and is rated difficult as it has multiple fords of South Rock Creek. Departing from the historic HF Bar Ranch, join Lisa Wells, Steve Stresky, and Khale Century Reno (WWA Executive Director) on an interpretive and steep hike into Rock Creek’s geologically rich backcountry with unique spires, canyons, and peaks. The 7 mile hike follows the Wild and Scenic Eligible South Rock Creek up the steep canyon adjacent to Stone Mountain. Hikers continue around Stone Mountain finishing the loop with one more chance to cross stream before finally trekking back through the field to the barns at HF Bar Ranch.  Focus of the hike: geology, Rock Creek Recommended Wilderness and celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Wyoming Wilderness Act of 1984.  Maximum 12 participants.  Sign up required.
